The Okaloosa County School District will be offering the following Community Education courses related to computing over the following weeks:

Introduction to Computers, 15 hours, Tuesdays, 5:30-8:30 p.m., five weeks, $90, Choctawhatchee High School. 833-3206.

Excel: Introduction to Spreadsheets, 15 hours, Thursdays, 5:30-8:30 p.m., five weeks, $90, Choctaw, 833-3206.

Searching the Internet, three hours, Tuesdays, 5:30-8:30 p.m., one week, $25, Choctaw, 833-3206.

Introduction to Desktop Publishing, three hours, Thursday, 5:30-8:30 p.m., one week, $25, Choctaw, 833-3206.

MSWord: Introduction to Word Processing, 18 hours, Tuesdays, 5:30-8:30 p.m., six weeks, $100, Choctaw.

Prime Time Club meets on Jan. 18

NICEVILLE -- The Prime Time Computer Club meets on Jan. 18 in Building R, Room 101, at the Okaloosa-Walton College Niceville campus.

The meeting runs from 2-4 p.m.

UWF IT Academy to hold seminars

The University of West Florida's IT Academy is offering IT Career Seminars in Fort Walton Beach.

The free seminars will focus on Microsoft certification opportunities offered by the university and educate attendees about job and salary forecasts in the industry.
